Secular Humanism Debate Guide
From PhiloWiki
For many people today, secular humanism offers an agreeable alternative to traditional religion.
Secular humanists embrace all of the caring and sharing values that civilized society has developed over the centuries through the lessons of human experience and the power of human reason.
In reaction to accusations by some religious groups that non-believers can have no real faith in universal goodness, secular humanists point out that virtues like kindness, justice, and generosity often work better when they are not associated with religious beliefs.
